they come on in short bursts
like a hiccuup exploding through a  vein
they come on like summer quick thunderstorms
rain splatered windshield
one... two... up to thirty drops
stopped
sun out
they come on
come out
like a spider in a corner of a room
look back to scream softly
and he is gone
escaped through a crack
they come on in flicker lights
porch lamps
stranger stares
salesman's pitch to
housewife holding a milk bottle
on some golden storybook afternoon

The thirty drops made me think of the thirty pieces of silver for some reason. I really loved this. And yr name rocks the Casbah. Leafy!

She said burn ... together.
