On A Journey To The Unknown

Sometimes, I wonder,
If I should even keep trying
To write any poetry at all

No matter what I try to do
It doesn't turn out to be
As good as all of yours

Never have I been one
Who could read instructions
And get it right the first time

Sometimes I have to try it
More than just once or twice
Before I might just get it right

There are times I feel like
Just giving up and not trying
Feeling like it's just no use

To give up
what is inside of you
is to let
the volumes
of your essence
be burned
and cast
as useless ashes
Someone
out there
needs to read
you today

It was me.

Sincerely,
Reg

Sue,

i understand where you are coming from...in fact, i feel that way almost every other month...

i keep trying to write because i just want to express how i feel at a particular point in time..No matter how bad it is, it's still mine, something that i alone have experienced and is uniquely mine...

And just because things have been written about before - and you agree with
what was written - doesn't mean you can't write about it too and maybe even
better than the previous author. There is always a new way to say old things-
from your perspective which is different from anyone else's so write it.

keep trying!

SweetChickieSue~
Like I told you in the e-mail ....
You 'give it up' ... I'm coming after you ~

It's all about 'feelings' ... and you emote them so well~
Love n' hugs~
