~Long Enough~

If the world stopped turning long enough for me to look high in the sky
Would I find our names written in stars ink...just getting ready to dry
The heavens...would they tell of our story, painting in colors hue
Or would the sun show us all the wonder of our love...the sky in shades of blue

If the earth stopped spinning long enough for me to look deep into black space
Would I see the echoes and traces of your sweet beautiful face
Would it tell me we were destiny...that we were meant to be
The wind...would it become warmer, and show me that you and I are for an eternity

If the universe stopped moving long enough for me to see if you would be with me forever
Would my heart then rest easier...knowing we'd always be together
The ocean...with all it's powerfulness and glory rising in tides just for me and you
Would all these things declare our love true?

We don't need no magic star dust or breathtaking sky to show us the love we know is real
We just have to look into our hearts...there and only there is the answers to how we feel
When I look into your eyes, all I need to know is there
When you tell me you love me...I know you honestly care

So I ask you...do you know I love you so much
That I'd be lost without your gentle touch
And that you are the best thing that's ever happened to me
You chased away the pain, you set my spirit free
No magical words can say what my heart has already not
So many things in life and love your beauty and grace to me has taught

So close your eyes and wish upon a star
Know that in reality I am really not that far
I'm right inside your heart, and that's where I'll always be
When you open your eyes...I'll be there loving you by your side, from now until eternity

"you can't stop
the rain
from pouring down
can't stop the
world from turning 'round
can't stop me from
loving you
no matter
what you do"

I wish that I could write in those long lines like you do. . .

your heart shows, as always. . .
