Nothing is left,
Lying alone in my bed, I say, nothing is left
Don’t whisper obscenities in my ears
Don’t touch my withdrawn disposition
Don’t make me fall apart so soon
Can’t bear to stand the harsh reality of your death
Please do not go beyond these limits I have set
You are bound to burn and bleed
For nothing is left
I stopped believing you ages ago
Now your lies keep crashing in, banging inside my
harrowed insides
For the sake of those numbered truths
Just go and let me privately wage a war against your
sins
Today, again when you tie me up to those four posts
I will see evil lurking in your shadowed eyes
Hoping tonight my shouts would shatter your stoned
resolve

Do your heinous experiments on me
Test my strengths and my claims of being human
Brand me with the fire of your much-unwanted name
But draw the curtains, I say
Before my wrists you ruthlessly slay
Live on my blood and I on your insecurities,
And when you throw those sheets away
Hiding and smiling at the world
Look for traces of my whispered confessions in them
My helpless agonies
From which you have forcefully painted out your love

Read the stories written on those walls
They witnessed so much yet so little
This was where you held my hand!
Where we came the closest to heaven
Through this very room we touched the 7th sky
These were the windows, which gave way to our mingled
sighs
The same night that rained stars in our arms
And the same glass that mirrored our every move
The very same glass which eats at my flesh today
The very same that you now hold in your hand and weep!

What a powerful and intense write!
Misery, you have certainly captured with your words here. Very dark but expressively beautiful.......I enjoyed the read very much!

Welcome to Passions and this is certainly a strong write on your first poem.  I was going to email you to advise you that we have a wonderful Dark Poetry section that this would get a greater audience to read it, as it is a great dark poem.  Again, welcome and check out the Dark Forum some time.

another welcome.

i liked this as well - angst, release, loss, grief. all worthy adversaries... but also a part of a whole. "tornapart" fits this well.

Welcome to Passions.  A delightfully dark offering...like being rung out as an old dish rag.  There is nothing left.  Well done.
