Flashes of light arc across the sky
Lightning dances randomly before my eye
Chances slim that it will come near
An ending quick is not what I fear
Hard, stinging, full of pain
Blanketing, drenching like the rain
The clouds are thick covering all
Lean to far and I could fall
Into you, I would be consumed
My heart and mind would be marooned
A flash of light invades my mind
I follow it in not knowing what I'll find
Chaos, emptiness, combined in one
Rage and Peace, a moment and done
As I wait rain falls on my skin
The door is locked, please let me in

Great use of a metaphor here...

implied danger and excitement and all caution to the wind too.

I liked this much.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

This has a great encircling effect,
reminding me of a tornado...
