VERY IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:  This is a bit of a tricky one to read, so if you aren't up to a challenge, you shouldn't read it.  It's a style that I've experimented with and it is very very difficult to write.  It can be read both horizontally (left to right, as normal), and it can be read vertically.  Each word is part of a column and should be read only once.  Read it horizontally first.  Reading it vertically takes a lot of work because of all the symbols I throw in.  When you read it horizontally, ignore all punctuation other than commas, exclamation points, question marks and periods.  Vertically, those are not important.  / means when you read it vertically, the two words on either side are in the same column and should be read one after the other.  -/- means that the words are not only to be read together vertically, but they are to switch places, so the right-hand one is read before the left-hand one.  * beside a word means that it is the end of a vertical thought. Parenthesis ( ) means that whatever is in that needs to be omitted when read vertically.
Now that I've thoroughly confused you, here's the poem:

I           now    see-/-you  back  away/from      me.    Heart-
ache      becomes   no     one,  nothing*./You  endure,   though
I           every       thing   mess       make,       and         I
know*      insanity*  flows     in           my      poetry*.      Don't
ask           why.      Into      my        heart,       I       know.
How         does      it*/it(s)  own*     beat*    give?    How*
wonderous*   it*        is        for        you       to       save
our         friendship    now!     I          give       you       my
thanks     for         coming     back        to      my      life*.
