An article in the paper today caught my eye. I read it with anger and just wanted to cry. Amber Chrombies' latest fashion statement. Should send mothers of little girls in total enragement. Thongs for little girls ten and up is a point I call moot. Fashion promoting, something being called cute? Whomever thought of this has obviously never been a parent. The promoters promote sales lacking sensitivity, this is apparent. I'm not buying what you're selling and I don't have to think twice. What your selling as cute is not, so take my advice. At this age little girls should be taught not to promote their body first, but their personality. Why can't these money hungry fashion mongers see? For every step forward we fight for as rights of women. We seem to take two steps backward in the name of fashion, for this we as country seem to need to be forgiven. (To my co-readers, sorry, I just had to vent. I'd like to think I'm somewhere between a pervert and a prude, but this one just put me over the edge tonight). |

Gemini darling heart firstly excellent piece and secondly I quite agree with you as it happens. Children lose so much of their childhood being forced to grow up too soon. They are targeted by advertising campaigns, and the fashion, and pop industry.
