This is purely fictitious and I guess
was written because of how I was feeling
at the time.

* * * * *

Your final words to me just lingered
As you left me amongst my tears
So soon you had become a stranger
And confirmed my very worst fears

There was another one you loved
And that one was not I
Did you feel a sense of satisfaction
When you saw my heart slowly die

I gave you the best of my love
From deep inside my heart
But that was not enough
For you'd already decided to part

When did you trade my love
And replace it with your lies
I should have been more skeptical
When you struggled to meet my eyes

Those nights I sat here waiting
For you to return home
I never entertained the notion
It was with another that you roamed

My love became superfluous
And I became passe
Overnight you became a stranger
You are no longer welcome to stay

My tears will dry eventually
And once more love will fill my heart
But the fond memories I have of you
Will take some time to depart

(sigh) Oh my gosh, I'm so happy this is just fiction, sweet friend, I hope everything else is alright otherwise, for I can feel some stress in these words and I hope you truly feel happy and comfortable! (kiss on cheek) This is very touching, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

And once more love will fill my heart...and, Sue, with a very gentle smile..that is what it is all about, not giving up because one is not as they seemed. Excellent poem, I have missed reading you..

Sue....fiction or not....this poem has a
deep feel to it...with so many realistic
feelings that any of us might feel for
the same reasons...

Very well done!!

Even though it was ficticious, it seemed so real that I still feel the need to say, Hugs to you. A very splendid piece and very heartfelt.
