What is this interloper
that steals in silent as a cat
and strikes swiftly as a viper?

Tell me,
what is this interloper
that stalks surely as a hunting lion
and just as relentless?

Oh, please, tell me,
what is this interloper
that evokes:
laughter and tears,
joy and despair,
pleasure and pain,
excitement and despondence,
triumph and defeat,
aspiration and apathy,
and ...
hope?

Always ...
hope.

What name to give this ...
interloper?

Interloper, your name is ...
LOVE.

Bob I’m completely awed by this delight. Oh how you write, and how much I love it when you do so. Phrases as elegant as only you know how to present them, flow like a clear stream of liquid light, words placed with the delicacy of a painter of minitures. This is utterly utterly divine. Purely magical darling boy, utter bliss
