No More

No more darkness will cloak my soul
To freedom I soar alive and whole
Shake these shackles from my wrist
I’ll no longer squirm or twist
Released from this place of night
I’m walking into freedoms light
Out from under the yolk of pain
I’m off to dance in delight again

No more words that pierce my heart
Or sneers that rip my soul apart
I’ll shake the dust from my shoes
Freedom’s destiny I will choose
Nothing to hold me bound here
I leave behind sorrow’s fear
Take one last look before I leave
I’ve been given a total reprieve

No more pain from sores of wear
I’m walking away from dragon’s lair
Take your chance to bid me adieu
I’m leaving here at last I’m through
The sky and freedom beckon me
I’m saying hello to liberty
Don’t try to detain me anymore
Just watch me take off, see me soar

Marsha

Soar with the eagles, Mushy, and look down upon the poor earthbound clods with your soft, clear, sharp eyes
Welcome to freedom, dear.  Ain't it GR8?

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Vim and vigor, fire and light
look out everyone, she's back
Rolling strong down the way
Mushy's move, a swagger and sway

Darling girl,  this is a poem loaded with
gun powder....ready to fire when the
target is found....

Hello Marsha

Each and every verse soared so high and your words were filled with many words of wisdom.  Your words always move me and I am never disappointed in what I read.

Take care.....Sue
