My mind saves troubles for the moonlight
Rolls them out into the aisles
Shortly they become each other
As do counted ceiling tiles
Thirty-eight, I’m pretty sure
Numbers help me to forget
The worst of what I worry over
Is what hasn’t happened yet
My mind saves troubles for the moonlight
In the absence of distraction
One certainty that I am left with
Sleep is losing its attraction

I count, too.  It is a welcome distraction.  Very cool write, Kevin.
