Elliptical Illusion
~*Marge Tindal*~

~Way out across
this velveteen night sky
shy light moon goes passing by
Backstaged her glowing looks so full
yet a crescent appears in magnetic pull
Oh, my eyes do deceive, even a seasoned
moonie like me ~ What a night of confusion
Houdini-God performed an elliptical illusion
Spotlight shines on the edge of this night
but somehow it just doesn't look right
Sheer curtain of half-pulled phase
still she bows so gracefully
in crescent haze~

Margie girl darling sister of my soul this is utterly divine, as always your writing far surpasses the mere brilliant and is superb. You know I love this, that is a given of course.

The lines are truly exquisite and YOU know I utterly utterly love it. Why is it do you suppose that your writing always passes over the mere ordinary and soars into wonderment? Well, whatever the reason I utterly utterly love it. And whenever the moon casts her silver glow there is your pen dipping into the silver and writing your name in it’s moonbeams. This is utterly utterly wonderful and I love it love it love it

She's back! She's back!!! Oh, yippee yippee yee-haw! *S*

I was wondering what the deal was... and about to offer suggestions. *G* (If you couldn't find a spare electrical outlet, run an extension cord from the neighbors? Or if it was lack of telephone line holding up your reconnect, get cable? *G*) Bill knows he's a lucky man... but he does know he has to share, doesn't he? *G*

YEAH!!!! She's baaaaaaaaaccccccccccckkkkk!

This is beautiful, Marge... your moon poems are always a treat. *S*

Marge

I saw a slivered moon last night and a bright star beside it...and I thought of you.  This is lovely.  Hope all is well!

I'll ditto Martie. *S*

I was grumbling and grouching cause I was hoofing it out to the dumpster when I really wanted to be keeping my pillow company... then I looked up. *S* And your poem had jumped right up into the sky and found a star friend. *S*

She?!
What do you mean SHE?
Do I look like I wear skirts?
Have you ever heard of the "woman" in the moon? NO, of course not.
If you don't correct your errant ways I will withhold my moonbeam's from your romantic evenings.
By the way, "she" lives on the dark side

A wonderful work, as usual.  However, you did seem to upset the man-in-the-moon

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
