Five flags

History of changes
From the Spanish till today
Each leaving foot prints

Forts

Frowning brick breast works
Cannons look out on the bay
Guardians silenced

Light house

Tall and painted black
Symbol of a land's morning
When Abe Lincoln died

Beaches

Snow white pristine sand
Banks of rolling wind swept dunes
Saphfire blue gulf

Aviation

Golden wings on chests
Cradle of Naval flight
The drone of trainers

Fiesta

Floats with pretty girls
High stepping bands strut their stuff
Kids catching candy

Pensacolians

Proud,friendly people
They love their beautiful town
Y'all come see us now

BTW I'm proud to be a native born Pensacolian.

Gee Paladin, you make it sound like a great place to visit.  And, I'll bet it's a lot warmer here than the 50 degrees it is here today. Good stuff...and you know how much I am enjoying these themes!!

Along that 3 mile bridge..I had many a dreams..convertible daze and scraping up 35 cents to cross it. Brent Lane is still a long highway through old boyfriend alleys..Crescent Lake still there? Left only my footprints dear poet..and still appreciate the sand..You should be proud. I have tons of memories and laughs. You brought them all rushing back.

Sincerely,
Reg
