What I Want

I want to be the eternal light
Who’s strength and faith
Guides your heart home.
I want to embrace all of your
Fears and sorrows, absorb them
So they don’t consume your soul
That has already seen way to
Much hurt, pain, and tears.
I want to give you happiness
That you have never seen before
I want you to be able to see
Yourself through my eyes
So you can realize that you
Are worth the love, respect, and
Equality that I will give you.
I want to be where you feel
safe, secure, loved and adored.
I want to be the first person you
Want to share your tears of joy
And your tears of pain with.
I want to show you the honesty
And warmth my heart holds for you.
I want to give to you all the
Amazing gifts you give to me
Everyday that I’m blessed to
Hear you whisper I love you.
I want to love you until
I breathe the last breath that
This life allows me.

I would rather have one breath of his hair,
one kiss of his mouth,
one touch of his hand
than an eternity without it.
