Desire

Desire sweeps across the page
To seek another stage
Humiliation sheds a tear
And bows once more to fear

Imaginations audience
Frowns, sits an acid fence
And tears from out our eyes spill vent
Till all our shame is spent.

We close the curtain as we can
Each stage on which we plan
And hid within the shadows there
The goblins of despair

There is no turnabout this life
Storage bins fill with strife.
They echo as we move along
Eternal is the song.

And children’s children light our way
To see into forever’s day.

All the world, indeed a stage...and ya wouldn't know it from the blue pages, but I've got the worst case of stagefright!

Your metaphor sweetens my coffee SO nicely, Sy!

(smiles) Awwwwww, this is such a gorgeous blessing for the children, sweet friend, may they always carry on close to their dreams and bring great hope to the future ahead and pass on new love to replace the tears! (big hugggssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Seymour darling boy what can I say except this is utterly utterly wonderful. I love that closing couplet, well, of course you know I love it all but that closing couplet is utterly utterly incredible. Like wisdom from the lips of Athena herself this is truly speaking comment.

As always to bathe in the wonder as delivered by the pen of the master of morning starts my day. I think that if my soul isn’t ignited by that special Seymour spark then it slumbers through the day, and never really gets going. Wonderful writing
