The Sick Within

I hear the thunder in my wake
conditioning the spell of me.
This intermission of my life
brings thoughts that craze, desires that be.

I miss the moments of your choice,
the silent whispers, innocence.
Imagining forevers hold, awake I am
with thoughts intense.

Sitting here in front of you,
eyes half closed but seeing plain.
The greenness of me waits, its longing
sighing for each breaths remain.

That which doesn't wall me in
shall auctioneer to highest bid.
Bridging gaps of missing need
shall spare me time and excess rid.

I wonder in the space of you
stepping in the shadows gait,
measuring the pieces fit,
wondering why, in silent wait.

The air has calmed the sick within
allowing me in dreams to steep.
I hear the music, soft the waves
drifting me back to my sleep.

"Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less."

I know this moment too Maureen. It's as though an argument in my mind, finally settles down and lets me get some rest...
Very vivid and apt portrayal here!

A beautiful poem, Maureen...How did your appointment with the doc go this morning?
