(Sorry it's been a while since I've posted any poems; I've felt lonely and sad lately and have been yearning so much for my dreams)

Promise Me
By: Noah Eaton
5/12/02

Sometimes I dream so much of you I feel this debility
Wondering if you are thinking the same for me
Deep inside of me arouses this imploding curiousity
If you've been thinking of me
If you've been thinking of me

Every night I need to find a new pillow to cry on
Wherever I go you find my way singing in my hearts nest
Head over heels I fall just waiting for a key
To release me from this asylum

If I could escape all these pretexts and spiritual propaganda
And find a way to speak those three simple words ear to ear
I'm sweeping all my dust bunnies under the crawlspace
Don't let this broom's bristles wear out and erode
While I'm spring cleaning for our honeymoon...

Promise me
Promise me
You'll believe someday we can be
Promise me
Promise me
Without you my heavens fall and bleed
Promise me
Promise me
I'm down to your feet
Just promise me you'll always love me
I don't want my world to be gray

Up above I believe the lord is trying
To find a way to have us embrace together
I never want to mistake a dove for a pigeon anymore
I love you so much and can't let you go

Where are you going, where have I gone, what is this we're thinking
Have we arrived there or is it just in propinquity?
I want to prove every prophet wrong that claims
There was nothing ever between you and me
You are the one I want to love forever, the girl of my dreams

Promise me
Promise me
You'll believe someday we can be
Promise me
Promise me
Without you my heavens fall and bleed
Promise me
Promise me
I'm down to your feet
Just promise me you'll always love me
I don't want my world to be gray
I don't want my world to be gray
My world always seems so gray
If you disappear...

Awwwww Noah, you are too young and vibrant to be so down in the dumps as they say. Believe in your dreams and keep writing your poetry. Love will find a way. Chris

Noah darling boy OH my word this is excellent writing, what can I say darling heart your writing shines through every single word.

Sometimes Noah love we can want too much, we get so caught in the want and need of what we want we seem to lose the connection of the equation.

Take care of yourself Noah darling boy. Your writing as always is excellent, full of your heart

Love and warm stuff

and you write so well too!

Noah my friend,
The connection and the feelings are effortless...
The "what to do about it" complicated...
Love to your life. ThisDiamond

Don't set yourself up dear Noah, promises can be broken as quickly as they are made.  Had they not been made in the first place
the disappointment wouldn't be so hard to take.  I am always in awe of how you wear your heart on your sleeve and let it all hang out...I do enjoy your writing.
Hugs to you~

From deep within the heart this poem erupted...

"I'm sweeping all my dust bunnies under the crawlspace
Don't let this broom's bristles wear out and erode
While I'm spring cleaning for our honeymoon..."

~ that was my favorite part.

I would rather have one breath of his hair,
one kiss of his mouth,
one touch of his hand
than an eternity without it.
