Do people listen to you?
They tend not to listen to me.
And I am underestimated.

I am harmless, a fly, an ant,
Not big enough or loud enough
To be bothered with.

That bothers me.
I don't mind being small.
I don't mind being quiet.

But why should I be a reject
When I am undervalued?

I listen.I listen well,
I listen long to monologues.
I do not interrupt.

Why am I not shown
The same courtesy?
Perhaps my conversation
Is not so sophisticated.
Or is it just that way
In the company of men?

From employers to lovers,
Down the line,
Seems none of them
Can spare the time
To lend an ear
And really hear.

The value of a listener
Is worth its weight in gold.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Macha, this is sadly written, sweet friend, no one should ever be left alone or ignored, for you have a very special heart and it deserves to be listened to! (sigh) You can trust for us all to listen whenever you have something on your mind, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Macha, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Listening to every heart

Macha, how true this is!  I am a listener, for the most part, but do love sharing a story with another good listener, when they will have it.  It's not always so much in what we have to say, but in how it is said.  Perhaps that is why you and I write, do you think?  And it is as important to be a good reader as it is to be a good writer.  I am enjoying your work!  Keep it up!

Mistletoe Angel, thank you.

Sunshine, you know, I don't often speak my mind.  Sometimes, though, when I voice my feelings or opinions or even share a story, like you said, I would like to be able to have a good listener.

Marsha, thank you very much for your kind comments.
