I saw the aged stones stand tall
Against the sky
Could feel the temporal dimension
They spanned.
Moments, years left far behind
Seemed to echo
With those voices of those
Who passed before.

This is what I saw.
What does it mean to you?

The great Blue Heron rose
From the glassy surface
Of that ancient lake,
Leaving no wake or ripple.
Spreading his wings
In regal flight,
He sailed aloft
And away.

This is what I saw.
What does it mean to you?

I saw the woman
At the piano keys.
She had just solved
A mystery and won
Her true inheritance.
Though unremarkable
At a glance, she was
A glorious concert
Pianist who had yet
To perform, but studied
Beneath a celebrated
Master.

She was good and unselfish,
Not yet twenty-four.
She died that night,
On a mournful,
Rainy Sunday.

This is what I saw.
What does it mean to you?

Wow!  Thank all of you for your welcomes and responses.  Please forgive me for not thanking each of you personally. But thank you for the greeting, Sunshine, and bsquirrel, no one in the world has ever presented me with an ocean wave!  I love it!  And Nancy, thank you for the hugs.
