Deer....this is for you.....but it is about me...
I went to a salon, a family place
embarrassed, glow on my face
A woman came and with a grin said
may I cut this hair on your head

I told her that I was not sure
I thought I needed a trim
I didn’t want a manicure
I don’t need one of them

I washed my hair the night before
I walked into that feminine place
But they told they’d do it once more
this single hair they’re gonna chase

But wait, I only wanted a trim
a simple hair cut will do
I don’t want a cut and style
I’ve only got a buck or two.

Well, they wrestled me into the chair
where I could see and smell shampoo
All of this for one single hair
What is a guy supposed to do.

It took all four of them you see
to get me lying in recline
Washing and twirling energetically
Still looking for a hair to find.

And once they spied that one hair
I was ripped out of the seat
They slung me into the other chair
and blow dried it with the heat.

Two minutes was all I was given
to finish polishing my head
But four of them were driven
to make it much more instead.

We are stylists and we do cut
your hair with the finest of care
and if your mouth will stay shut
we’ll finish curling your hair.

A half an hour of time went by
and I finally got through it all
I tipped her five, winked an eye
Darn, her name I can’t recall

Magnus darling boy what a delightful and fun tale darling heart, I like this I like it a whole lot. If I were Krissy I’d say this is superb, if I were Emma I’d say I’ve admired your writing and the other two wouldn’t let me on the computer to tell you so. But being as I’m me I’ll simply say I love it utterly utterly love it. I love it when you try different styles, and this verse suits you very very well. But then darling boy a smile really does suit you almost as much as a suit of armour does.

your poem has brought me a big smile!
It's so much fun to write about cute things like this. Find out that stylist's name, I'd like to get some highlights in my hair, LoL!

(giggles in delight) Oh Barry, this is so very funny, sweet friend, darn, now how are we going to supply evidence to Balladeer if we don't even know her name, for all we know she isn't even a licensed hairstylist! LOL! This is wonderful, sweet friend, I always love the versatile style of your words, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
