“STORY TELLER”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
When I first embraced you,
heard whispers only for me…
Love you wanted this time,
what you said wasn’t to be…
Passed by your house tonight,
looked at shadows on shades…
Silhouettes all I could see,
weren’t just playing charades…
Would listen to gentle stories,
from a versed story teller…
Excuses, things you would say,
like I was an amateur…
You’re only just one of those,
a teller of stories you are…
Speaking words without meaning,
part of your repertoire…
BC,  deceit and deception....parts of the
storyteller's bag of tricks....
Not a fun feeling...
But,  I must say you have told it well...
Good Morning!
Well done Bill...
Reminded me somewhat of that 50's song...
"Silhouettes on the Shade."
Bill darling boy OH MY! Such an outstanding and wonderful piece of writing, so accurate in it’s portrayal of how the storyteller trips and tricks and spins lies.
As always darling boy you write supremely well, and as always I love it utterly
(sigh) Oh Bill, this is a somewhat sad poem, sweet friend, my heart goes out to those who always pretend to keep their loving promises and play them like charades! (big hugggssss) This is sad but heartfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Love,
Well written Bill. I know where you're coming from and you present it so well here!
Story Teller indeed.......where's the truth and loyalty to the truth?
Bill - enjoyed this sad but true poem. Chris
