Repost:

          One goal one soul

The wind that touched your face today
And mine in gentle feel and play,
Embraced us since our very birth,
Forever with us on this earth.

Our breath has touched and joined with those.
In past and present since time arose.
And you and I have touched before
And will embrace forever more.

So do not ever feel left out
And do not ever harbor doubt,
That you and I are tied as one
And never will we be undone.

We all encircle time and space,
We live and die within this place.
We are together in one goal,
We are together as one soul.

The breeze that kissed you on the face,
Has held me in the same embrace.

As the cottonwoods sway in their sigh
I read these words, and time goes by
the winds shall call, I'll read again
of dragon's days, and milder men
I shall read of ever-winging butterflies
and of a poet, whose name is Sy

This has been a long standing fave of mine since you first shared its gift of tender rhyme. I will never forget the first time I read this gem...the warmth it gave my heart, the smile it placed on my soul ...for this is soul poetry...
soul poetry at its finest.

Seymour Hi there it’s Emma here I’m the youngest of Mushy’s daughters. I’ve been trying to join for weeks but not been able too and now yes I can so I did. Mum will now have to wait her turn patiently. As I’ve had to do for weeks while Krissy has been having fun in the forum. I definitely don’t write poems.

I’ve read you for a long long time, before Krissy did, she is just a recent convert you can ignore her now I’m here. We are all competitive in our family, even though we love each other, we are still always competing

I love the thought of this it is I think one of your best, you have an intuitive and natural feeling for the flow of words I like this one a lot well written and well presented. Well done

lots of love

Now you and I got to hug,
I even kissed you on your mug!
I'd do it again and you know why?
There's no other soul, like our Sy.

This is so beautifully written, Sy...and so true.
I think I feel this way about the rain, which is probably why I love it so much.

kinda reminds me of one I wrote about blowing a kiss across the sea, over the waves, and landing to bite the lips of my lover...

"Tonight as I was back again
I blew a kiss into that wind
figuring it was strong enough
to carry it to its end
across the many miles, above
treacherous currents of the sea
so if you felt the wind bite your lip
not to worry...it was only me."

And do not ever harbor doubt,
That you and I are tied as one

What a beautiful reassurance! *S* I can easily imagine this being read as a couple renews their vows. *S* The writing is superb... the sentiment goes straight to my heart. *S*

This poem took my breath away!  It's definitely going on my list of favorites!  It really shows the connection that two people can have, and how it can stretch further than the eye can see--a very connection of souls.  Exquisite!
