Sometimes you find the heart to write
In a place unique to itself
Where spirits still tear up the streets
And everyone has music to bear

Magnetized forces draw you in
To search for new faces
Who seek a release from life’s burdens

People of every description smile
In a freedom of expression
So independent that the artists stay

The stories vary from a true universe
In such a character that people will listen
As the blues of the streets hits home
To dance within you on easy street

The food for thought smells at you
With the aromas from heaven
But yet the street of smells will turn you
Like a page in a mystery

As people stagger their inhibitions away
I could take the power of its attraction
And bottle it up in words
To get such a potent spell
That they would carry me away
To a paradise of gentle breezes and palm trees
But I still would have to come back
To find the spirit that people sing about
So deep in me that the saxes will wail
With voices of deep meaning

Yes I found a little heaven
And a lot of hell dancing together
In the creativity of a quarter of a city
But its charms blesses the unusual
And I will gravitate there
To write in my unique way
Until the streets take my ghost
For a final ride

(sigh) Somehow I find every place in this world to be strange and unique in its own way whether it is urban or rural and the place I just love to be most of all is in my dreams, and when I find the place of inspiration to do so, I spend a lot of my time in a Hispanic supermarket where the colors and music allure me in! (big hugggssssss) This is excellent, sweet friend, your wisdom always lights these pages, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!
