Play Blue Eyes by Bruce deBoer

~*~ Rose Scented Dreams ~*~

The scent of a rose reminds me of my dreams,
A dream I dream almost every night it seems.
You hands me a rose, gives me a big smile,
makes me feel I'm a sensuous woman a while.

My love, I’ve seen you so often in my mind,
you and I, our bodies and our hearts entwined.
So in tune, we have no need for words,
our only music, summer’s sweet songbirds.

We are dancing under a star-studded sky
so much in love are you and I.
Is this dream of love ever to come true?
or will I spend my life just dreaming of you?

I've felt your skin within my dreams,
called your name in silent screams.
I search the dark halls of my imagination,
just for a small light of confirmation.

I've searched for you through times untold,
through songs unsung, and days of old.
Your face I’ve seen over and over in my mind,
but never viewed through these blue eyes of mine.

I’ve held your hands, and kissed your lips,
Felt your arms around me resting on my hips.
I looked into your eyes and seen your soul,
you’re the one to make me more whole.

I've heard the beating of your heart
so close to mine yet fate keeps us apart.
Each night I lay and wait for your return
I've felt your fire, the warmth, the burn.

My soul mate, tell me are you even near?
Shall I wait for you a month, or even a year?
A lifetime still may come inbetween,
so forever I'll live in my rose scented dream.

~*~

The scent of a rose.. is nearly as lovely as its touch... and these words are equally as lovely, Mysteria's one...

A beautiful 'dream'!! You chose just the right graphic (as you always do) to set off your poem.

Well thank you all for your comments but sigh...it is just a dream, Sy   That picture just kind of spoke to me it did. I forgot to mention the artist is Linda Bergkvist (my favorite computer graphic artist).

Ah, but dreams are just wishes in hibernation aren't they?  Summer is coming and everyone comes out of the woodwork for a few months, so there's still hope for me   Thank you for sharing my dream.
