Three years have gone by so quickly
Since the day you passed away
I think about you daily
And in my heart is where you lay

I take flowers to your graveside
And lay them beneath the tree
But I know you're not really here
For you remain deep inside of me

I walk this well known track
You once walked along with me
This place is surrounded by beauty
Stretching far across the sea

I walk this path alone now
I'm so often deep in thought
I follow your words of wisdom
So many valuable things you taught

My mind is filled with memories
Of the treasured times we had
My heart is filled with love
I still hold for my dear Dad

Regrets I have are many
But there is one that tears me apart
I didn't tell you how much I loved you
And how very dear you were to my heart

My words are a humble substitute
For all the love I feel inside
And I hope they're able to reach you
Until we are together side by side

You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Sue;  Because of the close relationship you had with your dad, I'm sure he knew how much you loved him.

Hi Sue, nice read, I think even if you would have told him that you loved him, you would not have felt that it was enough, families are bonded by love and he would have known your deepest feelings, be it by a look or gesture, your hello or goodbye.
Memories hold together treasures of love, which stay within forever till when we meet above.

Nice write Sue

Sincerely Rick

Sue,
I am always touched by the freshness of the loss you feel of your father. How truly you have and do continue to love him. It encourages me as I face the inevitables in my life. Bless you for your tender heart and your willingness to share the struggle. A lovely tribute which I never tire of. Thank you.

It's never too late to have a good childhood! Woohoo!

Sue,  you have nothing to regret....I have
absolutely no doubt that he knew very well
how much you loved him...None...not one
bit of doubt....
