Is it “Que Sera, Sera?”

What do you think
tomorrow will bring;
is it “Que sera, sera,”
or might one have influence
in the choice of the draw?

One iota, one speck,
one atom, one dab,
could one bring any lev’rage
with the hours
one has?

I know I can cause
things to run well awry,
I’ve had that happen
and I us’ly know the why.

So then, perchance,
could it be up to me
to have things go well?
Is there something
I can do, please tell,
please tell.

Is it in my smile,
is it in my words,
is it in my looks?
“Oh, don’t be absurd!”

Could it be
in the color
of the clothes
I wear?
Could it be
in the flow of
my wavy hair?

Choices, choices
come every day,
making them, simply,
is there
no other way?
