Shiloh at age 9 months before his accident

~* Mother's Day Prayers For Shiloh *~

Every time I see a picture of a sleeping child,
My heart and thoughts turn to one special little boy.
He’s been on life support, and in a coma for four years,
missing out on those years of his childhood joy.

Shiloh’s family lives on its faith and hope,
that one day soon their little angel will awake.
He'll stretch, then reach for his Mother’s arms,
amd a great new beginning this family will make.

My heart goes out to his waiting Gramma too,
Maggie’s a wonderful friend of mine you see.
It breaks my heart to know what she misses,
whenever I hold my grandkids close to me.

I hear about the strength of Shiloh’s parents,
standing by, doing everything that they can.
I know I have no right to question this, but…
what lesson is there from this in God’s plan?

As Mother’s Day approaches at the end of the week
I wanted to send Shiloh’s Mom, a hug and a prayer.
With three other children, strong faith and hope,
I pray that Shiloh will soon join the family there.

~* Happy Mother's Day To Sunny and Maggie *~
(The best Mom and Gramma that I know)

Shiloh as he is now, on life support in 2002.

~ * ~

My Dear Friends,

Four years ago, at 9 months old, Shiloh almost drowned and he has been in a coma ever since.  Maggie, who posts as Flutterwings at Passions is Shiloh’s Gramma, and a dear, dear, friend.  She and her family believe so strongly in the power of prayer and that Shiloh will indeed wake up one day soon.  Maggie has a beautiful site, and has prayer pages set up for Shiloh. If you feel so inclined I wondered if you would mind giving Sunny and Maggie your prayers on this Mother's Day for Shiloh?  Please sign her guestbook at the bottom of any page, and she will see them and make sure your prayers are given to Sunny this Mother's Day.

There is a place at the bottom to pass the prayer page along if you feel there is someone else that would like to send their wishes too.

Thank you all so much.

Here are the links to the prayer pages on her site, please note that the Prayerbook isn't working on these pages, so please just send your prayers in the guest book, thanks again.

Dear sweet lady with a heart so full of love that everyone you encounter swims in your beauty.....I can't seem to find the words to thank you for this most warm poem...  With tears trickling down my cheeks, (not because I'm sad) I hold your compassion and caring so close to my heart. I've been having a hard day today... but, when I came and read this it was like  I knew that God works in mysterious ways.... He works through friends like yourself. I can't say enough on how very much you've touched me today... But, I think, that deep down *you know*, your just that kind of person.
If anyone wants to know the meaning of Angels.... look to the friend that gives of her love and time. When you least expect it.... a light goes on.
Thanks, Sharon, know that Sunny, Shiloh and I love you. ((~.~))

Dear Friends,

I wish to thank you all for lending your prayers of support to this family that has seen such heartache.

Magnus I can't thank enough for these words I have highlighted, and I hope all parents reading will take notice of them.

This is so unbelievably sad, Sharon...
No one knows God's reasons for doing what he/she does...but I strongly believe that somewhere, somehow...there must be a reason.
My prayers will be with them on this Mother's Day
Thanks so much for sharing this with us.
~loving Mother's Day hugs

When you sent this site to me a week ago, I went there and spent some time reading. This is a tale of such sadness but such overwhelming love - a lesson lurks here for us. Never take anyone for granted...thank you for posting this.

few of us can comprehend
the depth of what they've faced
or understand the helplessness
of where their lives have been placed

questions of the heart can lead
to nightimes of despair
yet loving friends do rally round
with encouragement and care

for angels come in many forms
to touch our lives, I know
and we've all been blessed by sharing
our prayers for this young angel, Shiloh.

Strength, hope and love to this family and all those who support them.  Sending white light to all of you.

Indigo

You are all so wonderful and I have printed this out (well cut and pasted it actually) and will do it up nicely for Maggie to give to Sunny), thank you all for your kindness.

There is a lesson, never put off until tomorrow what you can do today.

My heart over-flows with much gratitude and appreciation for all the love that is expressed here for baby Shiloh. I thank each and every one of you for caring, especially our poet angel ***Mysteria*** for being one of the most giving and loving friend anyone could have. I embrace you all with a big (((hug))) and love ... Maggie ((~.~))

Reading this jolted me out of my own personal pity party... for with mother and grandmother gone and emptiness where children might have been, the bins overflowing with Mother's Day cards tend to remind me of what I don't have. Now, I remember what I DO have... and that includes gratitude for those who think of others. *S* What a heart you have, lady! *S*

My prayers will be for Shiloh and all those who love him. *S*

I still can't really express my feelings on this one, so I'll simply say, my strongest healing thoughts go out to this child and his family.
