Kansas Sighs

Not until the cottonwood
Carries green again

Not until the winds from south
Care to bare again

Not until the storms have rent
Totality’s aftermath

That Kansas sighs are heard full song
A low moan less its wrath

~*~

come to greet this dawn again
give tilt to this full day

watch the heat come seek the sky
and bubble up what may

come nightfall the storms appear
in gold and gray and blast

and one knows the hand of God
shall never quit its task

~*~

Not until the cottonwood
Carries green again

Not until the winds from south
Care to bare again

Not until the storms have rent
Totality’s aftermath

That Kansas sighs are heard full song
A low moan less its wrath

Last night's storms have ridden away
The meadowlark woke to blue skies
and Sunshine through the cottonwoods

Good Morning, Sunshine.  And it's a quiet morning after a stormy night in Kansas.  Your poem says it beautifully.

(smiles) Awwwwwww, this is such a serene and pleasant poem, sweet friend, I too love the cottonwoods so much and when they bloom, I am always admired by their beautiful hues of snow! (sigh) May the sunflowers always greet you each morning with sunshine and sighs across the prairie, sweet friend, this is lovely, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Kari,
this is splendiferous so picturesque.
I have one small query in this verse.

Not until the winds from south
Care to bare again
Should it be care to "bear" again.

Auntie Kari You know I love this, but then yes like mum I’m a little biased. Not because I love you, but because I know really good writing when I see it, and this is it. Well written I love it, and yes the words are beautiful, as is the presentation. This is stunning and something very special. The way this follows the line is exquisite

I wub you xxx

Love and warm stuff
