the Other Side of the Mirror

So proudly on lava ramparts sits
A diamond hell that snarls at flames
Fickle image where lightning quits
Neither you nor I have strength to tame.

We bully ourselves thru self-torment
Shall, today, we look this way or that?
An eternal squint of ego foments
On verges of watery eyes, pride sat.

Reversed, thus reflected, we cannot see
In beauty, the man in the mirror dwells
Others view clear that to us is shadowy
For our eyes can never see themselves.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Jeff, this is excellent, sweet friend, an image, to me, is preconceivable, yet if we can only train ourselves to be attuned and patient and refuse to torment, we can get a still image and we will find something special that is clear to the eyes! (sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeff, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

SR

Interesting and deep, these thoughts, like from reflection seem, distorted, yet real.  Enjoyed the read.

Jeff, there is a much deeper meaning here than what at first meets the eye....
This is one of the reasons I enjoy your work so much.
The more times one reads...the more one understands.
I'm keeping this to ponder later during a quieter time.

I still think this could be a sonnet! I love the three dimensional aspect of this. You always bedazzle me with that reflective talent of yours dear! Awesome!

very thought provoking, Jeff...
Its true that we never see ourselves as other people see us.

I think I would make one small edit in this, and either leave the "s" off rampart, or sit...one or the other...

I like the imagery of this very much!  You do have a talent, and I enjoy watching it unfold...

Jeff hi there I just finished asking Dulcie to ask you to write some more and here it is an absolute gem. You have such an amazing talent, and it really does illumine the page and also my soul. This of course is why I seek out your writing it is so very good and such a joy to read. Many layers of complexity, much depth and always far more than it first appears to be. No wonder I seek you out I’m thinking that maybe I can acquire some of your awesome talent by a type of osmosis. Stunning writing as always you really do Rock. Give my love to Batman and a hug to Dulcie, and big hugs and a big kiss to you too x x x

Love and warm stuff
