(Today is one of those days when I'm passing time by going through these older poems. Nervously awaiting the trip to the hospital for some more testing today. Anyone that's online right now and wants to reach me, give me a call on ICQ) Do You Think Of Me? Do you think of me in the early morning? When the sunlight warms your face and the wind caresses your ear, do you feel the flush I put upon your cheeks and my heated breaths as I whispered your name? Do you think of me throughout the day as you work? When your fingers stroke the smoothness of your keyboard, do you recall the silkiness of my skin or the way we touched each other with our words when our hands were unable to reach across the distance between us? Do you think of me and remember how every line became a tender caress; how each word became a breath, an embrace, a kiss as we made love in syllables and time stood still? Do you think of me in the still of the night as you lay alone and dream of better days? Do my hands, once more, sail the contours of your body leaving you breathless in their wake? Can you feel my gentle caresses, even now, as I reach out to you from the depths of my dreams? And as the memories crash like waves, their shores the recesses of my battered heart and mind, I can’t help but wonder... Ruth, your poem asks a question that I think we have all asked ourselves at one time or another. Does an old lover or mate still think of one long after the parting? Was it all worth it? Was the relationship important enough to leave good memories in the mind and rememberance? Good, good questions... On a personal level....YES! I will always think of you and remember our conversations over the years and our time spent together where you jumped off the blue pages and became so much more real. You are unforgettable and shall always remain so and I am here wishing the very best for you..... |

I often wonder the same thing, do people in our past ever think of us fondly or forget us.  In my case I am scared to get the answer! On a personal note, you are thought of most fondly by me and all your friends. and remember your gentle touch. You're really pretty hard to forget, as we got to love you oh so much. When you feel you need a friend, know here you have friends who care. Purge that fear that lives inside, Lean on us; your burden we will share.
