where the sky and horizon meet

Posted with permission and encouragement from Ron (Cpat Hair).

Iambe's Point of View

I see Sol's old truck
Bouncing my way
It coughs when he turns
The ignition
Kind of like Sol
When I ask him to dance

I keep my hands busy
On Bob's old Ford
Knowing that it's
Something else entirely
I'd like to get my hands on

I watch Sol from the
Corner of my eye
Leaning down in the cab
I can see where the line
Of his hair now ends

I drop my wrench
And the clamber causes
Sol to look my way
His sad eyes meet mine
And as the dust
On the road settles
So does the dust
On my heart

It seems we will always
dance this tune.

Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself.
Thank you for having the courage to share yourself so that I can too

sitting here with frank admiration, K.

I tried to do this, and just couldn't. Hmm...you've got me wanting to try again.

Great job with this. It was good to hear Iambe's point of view. (I'm sure Ron enjoyed it too.)

very very cool....yes...I too have become a huge fan of Rons Iambe writes...and this captures with a bittersweet delight the chemistry that he creates between his characters.

JM~ Hey, you snuck in on me while I was replying
I'll never even come close to creating the essence of the characters like he does, but it was so fun to try!  It was definitely an eye-opening experience...now I know I'm not limited to my own experiences!
Thank you for the fly by, it's always great to read your words.
*hugs*
