Another Mother’s Day is here
time to put on that smile
pretend that you’re a loving mom
you haven’t done that in a while

My friends all have fond memories
mom’s tender loving care
those memories elude me
were you even there?

No hugs, no kisses, no caring
I existed on my own
biding my time til I could leave
that cold, passionless home

When I became a mother
I remembered what to do
I hugged my kids every day
and told them I loved them too

On Mother’s Day I celebrate
not what you have given me
but for the fact that I became
a better mother than you could be.

(big hugggssssss) Oh Sharon, I am so sorry your mom never reached out to your needs when you were young, sweet friend, you didn't deserve any of that, for every mother should love her children, and you are a wonderful mother with a golden heart! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all wish you the happiest Mothers Day with your children who will always love you so much, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light awlays shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Well you and I have something very sad in common, but like you I was a good Mother, and I am as proud of myself as you must be too.  There is nothing good I can remember of my Mother, and so now I don't have to write as you have spoken for us all, and done it extremely well I might add unfortunately.Happy Mother's Day Sharon

You have given a voice to the pain that sadly, many carry...but most importantly...you broke the cycle that is all too often passed on pain. You knew you wanted better for your kids.
Its never easy putting these emotions into words, another thing that I hope you take pride in....and perhaps you have written it for those who cant and they can find some of their own release in the words.
hugs and Happy Mothers Day to you.

I applaud you..for succeeding..

I am lucky to have had a wonderful "normal"
mom relationship...well if you want to call Leave it to Beaver's mom normal..*s

I am sad though on these days as I  never  realized the life of a mom...

Have a happy one Sharon...rejoice in it.

I had to bring this back up for Mother's Day for those of us that did not experience any of the blessings of having a bond with our Mothers' and for this poem I applaud you.

We should spend less time on worrying when our life is going to end and more on when it's going to start!

Buying a Mother's Day card is always a chore for me - I can't be mean and not send her one..but still...so I opt for the humorous.
