I have not been spoiled.
I work hard
For my survival.
Do you think it's easy?
Step into my shoes.

From the wrong side
Of the tracks, I came.
I always had few possessions.
And what do they matter,
Anyway?

I opened my life and my heart.
I did forsake everything I had
Built; yet he never came for me.

Are we to go through that again?
History is what it is.
Accusations might make you feel better
While you try to make me feel worse.

You are free to do what you want,
To feel how you want to feel,
To be who you choose.

Whatever form is taken,
Any emotions shaken,
Whether either of us likes
It or not, blame is wasted.
I could just as easily blame
You, in my own anger,
Frustration and discontent.
I could stomp my feet
And tantrum, but I don't.
I'm too old to act that way.

I accept what is.
I accept what is not.
I accept you for you.

Just want to say "sorry, everyone."  This poem is pretty rough and probably not fit to post. A little bit of strained emotion--or anti-emotion, here.  Makes me feel like I have gravel in my heart.
