La vita e bella means life is beautiful or wonderful
la bella vita means the good life

Roman countryside aged well in time
"la vita e bella", is said with vintage wine
"was that life is wonderful?" the stranger said
"No," snapped the local, "use your head!"

'La vita e bella,' is as common as good wine
you say it when life around you is fine;
it can fill cup after cup, drink your goblet slowly
so passes time, keeps the grapes from feeling lonely.

"la bella vita," quipped the stranger,
who shot in the dark, like a lone ranger:
"I will drink the wine, and not in haste,
life is brief, not a moment to waste."

I like this, Martin. And sipping slowly makes the bouquet last so much longer.

I like this so much. I did a poem last year, La Bella Vita. So this title caught me. But wow, you did a fine poem here.

(smiles) Oh Martin, this is wonderful, being a fond lover of the Latin language and of understanding history, I enjoyed the Epicurean feel of this delightful poem! (big hugggssssss) This is fabulous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Noah,

It a pleasure to add some spice to a monolingual poem by adding something novel
