Movement slows
as numbness approaches
if I had the strength
to open the flood gates
I would
drowning would be quicker
and final
and definable
this is not
movement slows
heart still beats
if I had the strength
I would stop it

Do you ever sound like you need a hug
or maybe several

Hope this is really not your present state of mind. Just words, I hope.

(BIG HUGGGSSSSSSS) Oh Duncan, this is sooooo very sad, sweet friend, I think time and time again we indeed feel this numbness and I too just wish it could stop! (sigh) Hold true to yourself and hang in there, sweet friend, for very soon the sun will come out and your heart will keep beating with joy and it will last so long you would never believe it! This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Duncan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Nahhh won't do Duncan

Go look for the sparkles of live
They're there ya know
just hidden for a short moment

I'll give you one of my knuffels, alright?
I think Deer wouldn't mind missing one.

I've felt this way.  I usually sleep it off.
Excellent write.

Duncan,

This is so painful, and so sad. Hugs to you.  I wish you peace in whatever you seem to be going through

Big hugs,

your writing......

..... is growing.....

like a sunrise.....

..... knowing....

dawn is peaking out.....

....... from behind mountaintops....

covered with snow.....

melted rivelets
of soul grow
into rivers
of live

i love
all the words
of you
you
give

Duncan~ Sometimes numbness is welcome ~ the anaesthetization of the soul.  I hope that you are well and not a victim of what you describe so eloquently.  This was a very vivid write, I could feel it.

*warm hugs*

Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself.
Thank you for having the courage to share yourself so that I can too

Sweetie, what ever is going on, I wish it to get better soon. Awesome write, descriptive of the pain I have felt with recent heartbreak.
