I want to scream at the sky
but it meant me no harm
holding my heart
night after night
as I looking north
talked to you in my head

that’s going to be
a real hard habit to break

sigh.

It always is. But you do know, there is something about looking NORTH, that is more than instinct...it's DNA...it's "ancestral memory"

don't be so hard on yourself lovie.

and now? go read another poem about NORTH?

christoper's BREAK NORTH...

these could be companion pieces...

gentle hug.

As tears fall down from heaven
To the sound of broken hearts
Know that still I love you
Though knowing we must part
And somewhere in the lifetime
That we thought forever ours
Our love shone as a moon beam
As we wished on brightest stars
There’s not just one heart broken
For another cries as well
Know that still a heart beats
Locked inside its jailers cell

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Duncan, I can feel such angst in your words, sweet friend, I hope everything is alright, for we are always here if you need someone to talk to! (sigh) This is sad but powerful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Duncan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Duncan~

'that’s going to be
a real hard habit to break'

It may not make much sense right now,
(it never does when you're hurting)
but habits, like promises ... can (and will) be broken~

at this, and at Tracey's reply.
I bite my tongue, promising not to ask the Why?

Like Kacy, I too want to ask why?
But, that isn't for us to know...and,
if it makes you feel better to yell at the sky Duncan....then go ahead,
maybe I will hear you...
I'm north also.
*Also sad to read Tracey's reply*

Duncan darling boy this is an amazing piece from you the pain which aches in this is so clearly expressed. I’m awed by the way you’ve shown so much in so little wonderful writing utterly wonderful
