Light Skirt Drift

I thought I’d warned you all about me
I’m unreliable and untrustworthy
I’m never faithful I’m afraid to say
I simply can’t help drifting away
I don’t stay I will always roam
Rarely returning to my own home
I won’t promise to stay by your side
What’s the point you know I’ve lied?

I thought you realised the way I am
I seem to go off with any man
My intention is to try to be good
To do the things I know I should
I think that I’d like to maybe stay
But them I seem to somehow stray
I can’t resist the urge for new
But maybe I will drift back to you

I thought I’d explained all of me
My wanderlust and infidelity
Why can’t you accept all this?
My inability to curb my wish to kiss
I don’t know why it surprises you
After all we did talk it all through
You don’t expect me to change surely
I thought you really understood me

Marsha

I liked this.  I agree with the other people here.  I've only been here a few days, but you don't seem like that.  Of course, you probably know yourself better that I, a stranger, do.
Anyway, about the poem itself.  It was very good, and the rhyme was steady and reliable.  The meter was a little awkward, but it really wasn't very noticable.  It was fine!
Love ya, Mushy!  Nice work!
