Whyever did I paint my room pink?
The rest of my house seems somehow dismal
Sweetly feminine, was this ever me?
I feel like I’m aswim in Pepto Bismol

Maybe I should paint it green
Soothing as apples skin
Or better yet, deep dark red
To give an illusion of sin

Purple reminds me of grapes
I’ve seen too many from my youth
Blue could be very soothing
But it’s overused, that’s the truth

So maybe I’ll just paint it white
And pretend I’m a cotton ball
Comfy here in my cottonball bed
Staring out at my cottonball wall

I understand your dilemma... I painted my apartment "barely pink" you don't even notice the colour until you look at the white ceiling. I just finished painting my son's room a blue-green called "crystal pool" and putting up a boarder of Wolves. And to finish it off, I Mack tacked his entire dresser, shelves in white Marble.... now I want HIS room!!! Sorry for the rant, but your poem reminded me....LOL

Sharon darling girl this is cute, I wouldn’t have thought pink was your colour either. I on the other hand would have everything in pink That however is to be expected, I like this it is utterly utterly excellent

ROFLMAO ...
what a poetically perfect analogy...
Pepto-Pink ...
me thinks Martha Stewart needs to add it to her line.
Cute and clever rhymes Sharon.

There is a hallway in the house where I presently live that is the most offensive color of green I can imagine...makes me feel like I need some Pepto everytime I walk through it.  Funny write!

Sharon,
Your room is Puke de Bismo pink?! What were you thinking? LMBO I suppose that raises the temperature of the house! LOL Cute right.

Thanks for the smile. We bought a house that was pink at one time. The previous owner did it for his daughter (a lot of love there}. But, it had been repainted by the time we bought it.

Again, thanks,
Melton

I had been living in an apartment and you know they only allow that off white color. I was tired of it and wanted to 'make my mark' so to speak. Pink....what was I thinking? LOL

Okay I am saying it  - I can't imagine you "Pretty in Pink", it is not happening in my mind, no not at all.  Dark colors yes, bolder, with more statement, but PINK - you slay me, yes you do!

Imagination is more important that knowledge

Hey! I'm a pink person. Very girly, sweet, innocent..hm..well. I'm a GIRL at least!!

Ok..here it is...the wall behind my headboard has a pink/blue/green wedding ring patchwork quilt from floor to ceiling. I have a hanging basket of pink flowers. I have a wreath on the wall (shades of pink flowers). I have several prints of roses (some I got in England). I have 3 floral headpieces from Renaissance Festivals. I have a white bookcase with my collection of white and pink teacups (white with pink roses). My curtains are made from a sheet - large pink and white stripes with a border at the bottom of pink roses (that's supposted to be the top of the sheet as it's scalloped). Draped across the top of the curtain is a LONG vine of ivy and pink roses. My bed has another pink/blue/green quilt. There! My room.

(giggles in delight) Oh Sharon, this is soooooo cute, my sister has a pink room and I have a blue room and the rest of the house I live in is pretty much cottonwhite! (kiss on cheek) Have fun with your cotton-walled room, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
