Élan Uncovered

I am as bare as the beige page
before me
so I come unto you,
entreating you

Write on me, or in me, or for me

As I cannot bear to be this exposed
that I do not rummage around
to find some sort of
word

That in its swathe, would explain me

Might a day go by that you feel
                 you should know me,
                 in all simplicity
                 I come before you

                 Always within your reach

Yet, I read you, I feel you, and by sheer
delight, you uncover Élan,
discovering me as if for
a first time

Like a new book, you feel between the pages

Imagine
what the book must feel
with your hands stroking
the silk utterance contained therein

Unconditional, discriminating acceptance

and perhaps, a bit of

Love

Elan, I would say you covered it very well

Imagine
what the book must feel
with your hands stroking
the silk utterance contained therein

Unconditional, discriminating acceptance

and perhaps, a bit of

Love

Those lines in particular struck me. I HAVE experienced those feelings with a book. To refer them to a person or a soul or one's mind is exceptional...and excellent writing. I look forward to more of your thoughts on paper...

Janet Marie, I hope to be able to entertain, enlighten, and perhaps educate, from time to time, with my writing...and I hope to please your every read...thank you!

Magnus, I cannot imagine either, but I hope we will both be pleased if and when "it" hits again...

Titia, thank you so much for your wonderful welcome...

Martie, I will always hope for more...there is so Much to write about!

Cas, thank you so very much for taking time to read!

Thank you JamesMichael...

DarkStranger, do you always leave snippets of new poems behind in your responses?  You may want to watch for a poetic reply...thank you for the gift!

Bridget, thank you for your comments, it seems to me you have a bit of storyteller within yourself, as well!

Madame Chipmunk, here's hoping to many more! Thank you!...

Marge, I thank you....

Peel moment from sunrise
edging cautious discern reels within
the many forks each road doth ever turn
and offer up dreams
hazing mist to solid
in soliloquy
to words flow unend see
light meeting Midlands earth
burning winds
blazing crags
flame upon the mantle
heart in fireplace

within without becomes as one
fire and light
as glimpse arrives
see to through
Eternitys Horizon
Waiting
light
in truth
becoming
Dream transmogrified
Awaiting
Always

Aha!  A first poster!  It's likely she doesn't know anything about me, so I will be the person she trusts the most.  Now.  How can I steeer her away from those scalawags 'Deer and Toe?....

Welcome to Passions, Elan.  I am the Guardian at the Gate, and it is my job to make sure you are happy here.  Just a few words of advice.  There's two rascals in here who will write pretty things and make you feel all mushy inside.  Don't trust them for even a single minute!!!!  Trust only me!!!  Other than that, have a good time.

Heh... ol' Long John, you've outwitted those two foxes this time!
