I'm locked in this insanitorium
Waiting for the day that I can go
Behaving like a fish in an aquarium
Doing all those things while I'm on show

Joining in the groups that they call therapy
I watch as life goes past my barred window
Playing all the games of petty tyranny
I eat and sleep, wait for the time to go

Practicing my verbs by doing crosswords
Finding clues that dwell within my mind
Looking out the window at the 'free as birds'
Seeking out a place that I can't find

Time goes by within the sanatorium
Moving sometimes fast and sometimes slow
Waiting till the medics move in quorum
Watching for the time that I can go

Sitting in a jacket that's too big for me
Watching others dribble as they drool
I must be freed from this blind insanity
Knowing I can't leave for it's the rule

Practising my wicker working daily
A vacant smile will hide my perfect plan
Designing a hemp rope to leave 'old bailey'
Soon I'll be free I will, I'm sure I can

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

(big hugggssssss) This is such a powerfully haunting poem, sweet friend, I too wish you to be free and to find all the stillness your heart deserves! (kiss on cheek) This is very heartfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kethry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Sorry, James and Noah, it was meant to be tongue in cheek. Guess I missed the mark.
