In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2002-05-04 12:16 PM

A simple reflection

emerges to extend
thoughts
blowing
the wind and sea,
distant horizons
   simple shapes
times like this,
nothing softer,
nothing less will do

You awaken,
living life,
sometimes in a static
between stations,
between  answers
   white noise

hoping to find
yourself pondering,
each moment
silent
searching for
something to hold

an indication this is where
   you want, need to be

Fingers
of my soul
await  a song,
like  hunger

they become your name,
words depart briefly
from my lips
shifting deeper among my life,
my heart wrapped
in layers

Kiss sweetly
the palm of your hands
reading  poetry,
speak of rain dancing,
reciting each
   I, we, us

with closed eyes,

each trickle, drop
    rolling softly
falling

Hearing your words,
feeling your words,
stir my emotions
I place my heart upon
my sleeve
   open, exposed, raw

beautiful in
the main character
of love
but for how long?

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings
Could I have been anyone other than me
True poems rest between the words
Just give hope a chance to float up

Lauren darling girl this is as always simply perfect. Sometimes when the inspiration twirls me around and spins me into dreams I reach out with my mind and feel you there in that sanctum of my poetic thought. Teasing me to stretch my mind a little more, calling to me to condense and distil that thought into pure drops of liquid inspiration. They fall on my page and Iā€™m off again.

Truly wonderful writing darling heart, absolutely excellent. Deeply meaningful writing as are all of your poems. This especially so I think

Each time you touch it...it becomes more exquisite. Beautiful Lauren...written with a pen of exhale

... and I don't know why ...
Why should love come down and just sweep me away
I want to fly ... but there are so many things in my way.
