big old Bangor Maine up by the shack

they speak in whispers
move about feeling unseen
like a dark cancer they spread
bringing fear and uncertainty

vigilance is not quite enough
they can buy their way past our laws
they have shown they can weild their sword
even in our own backyards

it was the problem of others
until the day we watched the planes
smashing over and over, upsetting more
than just our way of life

in their way of life
they pay mothers to let their children die
and those children kill our children
on their mistaken path to god

james!! so nice to see you....

this is a powerful piece of writing...

the last stanza and last line especially hit hard....

good work....!!!

thanks doreen, this just popped out took all of 3 minutes to write, but I think it was brewing. Oh by the way I used to live in richmond-   thanks J
