The pitfall of dreaming of a business with friends. (Sorry this is not meant to offend, so if it not edited properly I will change more. My appologies.)

A dream opportunity
A manager trained
Friends wanting to work
A college town with pizza and beer
An investment in h

Arm twisting perfect opportunity
No way to lose money
Old equipment leased in limbo
New ones had to be bought
Painted to open the door

Changes made on accountability
Manager does not like record ability
Owner prevails in record keeping
Things go good but costs still too high
Resisted changes had to be made

Manager called, cook quit
Refused to work by herself
Tried to get her to bring someone in
But she left anyhow
Saying she quit because of the work
Does not figure

Picked up the keys
Her son came in on schedule
We worked to open up
Had a good day considering

She came back a week later
Wanted her job back
Told her she gave up on me
That now she had no pay

She still visits to complain
How thing where so much better
And inflates my customers with stories
Of how I abused the place

Had someone in mind when I bought it
To maybe turn it over to her
She became friend of my ex manager
The poison of wrong practices
Caught her in credit card fraud
Had to let my heart go
How does that figure

Still see my love
Especially when needing something
Like making sure she is alright
In her pitfalls
For I am still her pair of crutches
My ex manager friendship stopped
As soon as the job did

The bond of friendship went up in smoke
When someone else working used the back door
Tried to take possession of my soul
Pretty sure who it was for they liked tie die
They took a piece of my heart out the door
But somehow forgot to pick it up
So now no one can use the back door
And my stomach suffers heart burn

Had someone I treated like a son
Worked with him to try to manage himself
But the poison of others soon came to him
Left on a trip into heaven

Came back for more h
He told a customer
Who happened to work on the strip
That he would spit in her meal
Had a dozen customer confirm his stupidity
Good bye dear friend
Your loss not mine

Still hanging on trying to pay the taxes
On a futile dream with too many friends
As I sink into a hole that keeps heating up
The employees keep mounting up

As the excuses keep going to print
I will probably lose it
And my heart will crack
And all my friends will tell me
On my death bed of opportunity
Told you so
Oh by the way I need a favor

There are those that will always be asking for a handout...
