The Dragon Dies

The dragon of my wind blows red
Not wounded by a knight but dread
And smoldering with spite and rage
Writes his ire upon this page.

Dipping deep in the minds red ink
Ravages scald the bind of think
While ooze pours out the cyst of swell
Formed by the belch of sulfurs smell.

Our knave has sorely wounded save
Planets apocalypse o’er our grave
The dragon dies of rot and lies
The rabble buzz around like flies

I too would offer up my soul
For just the smallest part of goal
To balk destruction and the strife
Oblivious that storks our life

The dross impales, with fetid breath
That kills the dragon near to death.

My goodness Stinky...Randy is riled up...
me thinks he needs a vacation.
Your imagery and vocabulary here is like being hit by a train...this is a major impact poem...and very cool verbiage to boot.
Tell Randy to stop flying over the tar pits and try the Arch instead. *L*
This poem needs to be submited to Earth Day organizers or any where dealing with the  Enviroment or Ecology. It could be their mantra--Randy can be their mascot.
Very cool write Sy-babers...as always your rhymes speak of truth and wisdom.

Seymour darling boy this is an incredible utterly utterly incredible piece of writing. Yet again you paint the picture perfectly and I utterly utterly love it

The dragon dies you say my friend
But its life goes on without end
In flight of fantasy it soars so high
Playing games of tag across the sky
It touches thoughts of freedom flight
Swooping and soaring in such delight
It’s not gone from your mind’s eye
But waits for your right time to fly

The rot and lies of which you speak
Are simply traps, which wish to seek
To hide the joy you hold within
Fantasy’s wonder beneath the skin
Dragons’ tales of excitement’s sight
Fairies fancy in exaltation’s flight
Free the mind of trouble’s pain
Ride the dragon’s trail once again

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79

I think naught but the black of night
forbade the dragon from his flight
nor red, nor blue, nor white of rage
would keep thee from the wise of sage

To You, Sir...
a deep and humble
curtsey

JM,
It is something I had written and kept putting aside as others and nicer poems kept popping up. Don't worry about Randy, he is in fine metal and even found my Golden Key poem that had been requested to repost.
I will put it on tomorrow. Love ya.

Sy,  really like this....love all of the
adjectives and the horrible descriptions
of our foe...Mr. Drag....  Makes me want
to write another chapter to my Dragon Slayer
series....

Sy

Your dragon breath has scorched my eyes, but not from burn, but from tears.  This is strong, a statement, made beautiful with your tender heart of rage.  Hugs for this.
