So much sadness pours through my soul
sometimes with feelings I can't explain
floating in hollow, visits from emptiness
emotions over ridden with lasting pain.

Again my sorrow seems carried on the breeze
wind chimes blowing the tales of my time
aloneness again from mind to quill
my epitath of words written in  rhyme.

Endlessly searching  to reach that plateau
where yesterday and tomorrow might meet
when the light dawns on the new horizon
and sorrow finally makes it lasting retreat.

Like a red brick,
in a white wall
somebodies brush
forgot to paint...
lonely....(as sung by Tracy Lawrence..)

Oh how sad. I hope you feel happier soon. I understand this feeling, and you wrote it well.

As sadness is another beautiful part of our humanity, you have written a tribute worthy of the depth of soul. ThisDiamond

Donna, this is so achingly sad.
But oh so beautifully written.

GentleSpirit~

I felt a gentle uplifting for you with these thoughts -

'when the light dawns on the new horizon
and sorrow finally makes it lasting retreat.'

Stretch for that horizon, hon~

Donna, tomorrow is the day
it will happen tomorrow
the start of that healing

wake early and see it arrive
in a sun colored limo
with majestic mountain fenders

I think we are given the feelings of sadness for a reason, and that is to experience joy more fully.  I can sure identify with your poem as I ride a roller coaster of feelings and have my entire life, but I have learned to the waves, and eventually the sun shines.  May you feel the warmth of the sunshine soon.

Donna

The heart takes so many roads in life, and there is a reason for the one that goes down, that is the up.  Hugs for this writing which is the first step.

Donna,  I too find myself trying to deal
with those sad parts of my life...I feel
that expressing the emotions...as you have
here....works wonders....  You have written
a beautiful poem of intense feelings..
