Trace My Sky

Trace my sky with pencil then with thumb rub
Into blend of dusk just slipping into love
Then on your way across the flight of day
Make trees across the mountain into sway

Move my place until I’m liquid rendered
Winged then rhymed to molded  poem tender
With whispers tunnel of warm give truth the wrapping
put away without a lock this book less strapping

To leave the place where cages held the flight
Only takes the opening door and light
If the line of some sweet muse be lent
Across a map of words my heart is bent

Martie,  love this and the style and flow
of it.  A little different from most of
yours,  but very very nicely done...

Thanks, you three...this is different for me..since I prefer to write free verse..but when you're writing a love letter to a muse..you write the way you're inspired.

You 'know' what this means to me today~

Beautifully written ... even with a different purpose in mind~

you had me from the title on....
the rhyme made it like you were singing it to me...and? IWIHWT...thats some muse dear one...some muse indeed.

... and I don't know why ...
Why should love come down and just sweep me away
I want to fly ... but there are so many things in my way.

From canvas to whispers to flight . . .
ooooooooh, nice.
Fav. line:
"With whispers tunnel of warm give truth the wrapping"

And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.          Wm Wordsworth  (I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud)
