The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2002-05-02 12:07 PM

Somehow the dance does call to me
through dreary life and misery
it beckons-come, you shall be free
to live life full through harmony.

I dance alone under the moon
I dance the dream of coming soon
I dance obsessed to my own tune
within my heart, I hear him croon.

Still yearning more than solo dance
I crave the touch of true romance
and spin myself into a trance
though hand in mine would so enhance.

The drum beats louder in my head
my body, heart and soul are wed.

Sandra - go ahead..dance...even if there is no music...so what if you haven't any partner?!! To dance gives our souls joy. Well done. Chris

your touching expressions of longing are enhanced by your gift of cadence.

Dear Sandra, this is beautiful, I wish that I would have written it myself.
You brought the moment into view, I could see the tears in your eyes as you danced the night away alone.

Sincerely Rick.

Wonderful poetry.

Sandra~ I do this dance as well...your cadence is perfect poetess, and the rhyme enhances each line.  There is power in your writing.

Sandra, you just get better and better ... even with your sadness.
I love this piece.
