So many weeds, so much to pull
at times this action fills me full
prevents the whining rise within
so weed I must for mind to win,
secure its freedom from the thoughts
that enter ring, round two in fought.
Those dandy lions that show their tough
will struggle me, my strength enough
till sore I'll be, in need again
the want, massage of body's bend.
But who will aid me in my cause,
of silent word, of scheduled pause?
The warmth will come in waters shed,
the power strong, from toe to head.
So picture this, the you of who.
I'm weeding thoughts, that fill of two.

I like the 'weeding thoughts' idea... the mind is a garden, so of course there will be weeds. Great metaphor.

Thanks.

I like how dandelions become dandy lions.

two years ago I sat and  examined a dandelion and wrote this ...

Dent de Lion

There you were, golden maned
popping up everywhere I looked
as I leaned back yesterday,
enjoying the warmth of an after rain.

Drawing me to you, I plucked you
from the meadows behind
brushed you lightly against my cheek
surprised at your softness,
and how delicate you really were.

All my life you were but a weed
though cosmopolitan, and to some
an herb, producing a dandy wine
to drink or as is, edible to feast upon.

I eyed you, held you, played with you
studied your strong stem
your little hairs, fine tuned
breathed in scent of sweetness.

Why was I so surprised...
sensing your want of acceptance?
Yesterday, you received mine.
I kissed you with my lips and you
left your tracings of gold upon them.

A weed no more, I see the beauty in you..

~~~~~~
But today I pull them from my gardens...*s
funny how  different I view them today.
