I find life so demeaning at times
when woman wild
gets rushed down the tube
from motherhood
and wifeyhood
and plain old aging

Not that I don’t adore
the very essence
of every moment
spent breathing
as a woman
in those shoes

I find it tremendously
stimulating
to become one
with myself
as a bearing factor
of life itself
and I feel very
secure
in knowing
that where I came from
isn’t where I am going

and I have living to do

everything is beautiful
everything is sensual
when felt
through the skin of a woman
treating herself kind
comfortable
with her woman wild

the rest is just time

So, how did ya get to be so wise anyway?
I love the confidence and self contentment I read in these lines R-girlie...they speak volumes...but as always your words flow with grace and class. Good to read you this morn my friend..even better to read you in this state of personal afterglow

... and I don't know why ...
Why should love come down and just sweep me away
I want to fly ... but there are so many things in my way.

(smiles) This is wonderful, sweet friend, the beauty of a woman shines in your words, for a woman is born to be graceful and to shine with compassion that no pain or age can ever cease! (kiss on cheek) Never change who you are, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Regina, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

INDEED, Lady poet! And I will resist the temptation to be a wise ass, as what I am thinking has more to do with ME than with your poem! Enjoyed your wisdom, as I always do. The wild woman never really goes away, does she? Sometimes she pops up and scares the hell out of your hubby and kids! chuckling here...

Reg,
And lucky is the man who is doing time with you! Wonderful as always. Don't stay away so long.

Yes, I can see where plain old aging has really taken its toll on you!

Everything can be regarded as beautiful and sensual to everyone if only they are open enough to see it....and want it.

As always....beautiful writing, Regina

Regina, I could just copy the whole poem as what I liked about it. Definitely a keeper.
Thanks for the  reminder this woman needed at the moment.

Goodness Regina, the first verse spoke loud and clear to me.  Was going to say this is one of your finest works of art, but that doesn't sound right because each one is a credit to you!  You've got what it takes
to be sure.  Be well Regina~

you know - i tried replying to this three times yesterday, and this is my second time today... each time fate was conspiring against me and i got distracted. well, no matter what i WILL reply to this now, if only to say that i have read it and i appreciate your writing style and apparent intent. you have a cool (calm) way with words that breezes in through the eyes and settles on the mind with a faint whisper of understanding.

peace
