standing on a shadow's lace

A Lady’s Lace

much to my delight
I found some spider lace
latitued strings of silk
that a delicate touch had placed
semitransparent labyrinth
well-done masterful weave
beautiful interlocking threads
priceless gift the lady did leave
glistening in the morning sun
with special decorating flair
dew adorned it with rainbows
hanging the perfect prisms there
a magical work of art stitched
on the weeds found by me
spun to form enchanted lace
the fabric of my poetry

Oh.......this is enchanting......and as a nature watcher myself, I found it especially so!!  It's nice to know there are others who take the time to notice the small wonders all around us.....great write, my friend!

The music is playing...the dance begins

Helen,
What an incredible write. You're on a groove. Don't stop. I love this.

A very beautiful write...one
to be read aloud, but softly
then to tuck away, for later...

This exquisite poem is proof enough that YOU MUST publish your poetry

Spidery poems are a weakness of mine (along with rain poems, ocean poems, snow poems, blah blah blah etc.) Thanks.

Helen - now that I am home, I can send this to my library where I can read it again and again. Lovely!!! Chris
